Software applications open and work as intended	Click start, all programs and select office. Then select one of the files within the folder e.g Word. Type a few letters and save it. Default folder settings are correct	Click start and then documents. All of the folders that you have saved should be there and the default folders will also appear. The default folders include pictures.	The default folders should appear and I should be able to access them just as normal.	I clicked on pictures and the folder opened with background images like I expected.	No action required.
Desktop shortcuts go to the right place	On the desktop, left click the screen and select create a shortcut. Then choose a program of file that you want to appear on the desktop e.g Google Chrome. Click Google Chrome and access the internet.	When I click on Google Chrome on the desktop, it should open up and I will have access to the internet as normal.	When I clicked on Google Chrome shortcut it went straight to the Google Chrome homepage.	No Action Required.
The correct device drivers are installed	Plug the printer in and install the software that appears on the screen. Once you have done this, send a document to the printer and wait until it has printed.	When I plug the printer in, the computer system should recognise the printer. When I send documents to print, they should print normally.	The computer didn’t recognise the printer and the documents didn’t print.	I had to re-install the printer software and when I repeated the method, it worked.
The correct paper sizes are set for printing	Put an A4 sheet of paper into the printer, then print a document and select the paper size to A4. The document will then print	The document should print on an A4 sheet of paper and the document should also increase if the document was created as A5.	The document printed A4 and exactly how I wanted it to.	No action required.
Menu options work as intended	Click on start and you are able to see all the different software has been installed and the file options.	You should be able to see all the software and files, and computer programs.	I was able to see all of the different software options and when I clicked on a file, it went straight to it.	No action required.
The correct date and time are set	The time and date is located in the bottom right hand corner of the screen. Hover the mouse over this and it will also tell you the day of the week. Go to control panel and ensure that the time and date is set in the right place e.g. London.	The date and time should be correct and the same as it is shown on the control panel.	The time and date were correct and I was able to check the time when needed.	No action required.
